Clearing your browsers cache
Web browsers store web pages, images and documents in the cache to improve internet browsing speed and reduce server load. By clearing your cache you will free up space on your computer's hard drive and force your browser to download new copies of pages, images and documents you've viewed previously.
Internet Explorer
- Internet Explorer 7
Click on Tools > Internet Options > under Browsing History click the Delete button > click the Delete files button next to Temporary Internet Files
- Internet Explorer 8
Click on Tools > Internet Options > under Browsing History click the Delete button > tick the box for Temporary Internet files then click the Delete button.
Mozilla Firefox
- Firefox 3 (Mac and Windows)
Click Tools > Clear Recent History... > tick the box for Cache > click the Clear Now button.
Apple Safari
- Safari for Mac
Click the Safari menu > select Empty Cache > Click Empty
- Safari for Windows
Click the Edit menu > select Empty Cache > click Empty
Google Chrome
- Chrome for Mac
Click on Preferences > Under the Hood > Clear browsing data > tick the box for Empty the cache > click the Clear browsing data button.
- Chrome for Windows
Click the Tools icon in the top right corner (little wrench icon) > Tools > Clear browsing data > tick the box for Empty the cache > click the Clear browsing data button.
