2009 |
The local Environmental Mind Grind (EMG) competition has undergone changes this year. In order to maximize participation from each school in the Regional District of North Okanagan and encourage more students to take part in the trivia challenge, the 2009 EMG will take place in participating schools at any time during the school year. This will allow more flexibility for teachers to work around other planned activities and give students year round opportunities to learn each of the game topics. Teachers that would like assistance planning their mini classroom or assembly style EMG can contact the Waste Reduction Coordinator, Karmen Peace, at 250-550-3743 or email karmen.peace@rdno.ca. For those teachers that would like to enter a team to compete at the BC Wide Play-Offs in Lake Country, Friday May 8th, 2009 please download a registration form or contact Karmen Peace for more information.
