Public Urged to Keep Distance from Mable Lake Road KM 10 - KM 59

The Regional District of North Okanagan is asking all residents to keep a safe distance from KM 10 – 59 on the Mabel Lake FSR in order to allow BC Forestry crews space in battling the wildfires.

Campfire Ban Implemented in Kamloops Fire Zone Including North Okanagan Region

The RDNO will be implementing the same restrictions as per the Provincial Government Kamloops Fire Centre ban on campfires, in accordance to the below message from BC Wildfire.

Although water levels are decreasing after the heavy rains from yesterday, the Regional District of North Okanagan encourages residents living near creeks, streams and in low valleys to prepare their homes immediately and have planned emergency routes to leave the area if necessary.
