Temporary Closures on BX Creek Due to High Water Levels

With water levels on the rise in the North Okanagan, the Regional District is temporarily closing BX Creek Trail (behind BX Dog Park), and BX Creek Falls trail at Tillicum and Silver Star Road.

The RDNO Encourages Residents to Educate Themselves on Flood Prevention Strategies

There are only minor instances of localized flooding reported so far this year, but the Regional District of North Okanagan is encouraging residents to take note of flood prevention and property protection measures as a precaution.

RDNO Electoral Areas B and C Campfire ban rescinded

For all burning including campfires in the RDNO, please referrence the RDNO open burning regulations posted on our website, including the requirements for correct venting of smoke. 

Please burn responsibly, it is still dry in the grass and forest lands. Thanks from the RDNO Protective Services Department.

Off-road vehicle prohibitions rescinded throughout B.C. (some restrictions)
Wednesday, September 20, 2017 -

The operation of off-road vehicles will once again be permitted on Crown land throughout the Cariboo Fire Centre, Kamloops Fire Centre and Southeast Fire Centre, effective at noon on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017.
