The 2014 Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) Household Hazardous Waste Round Up will take place on Saturday, September 13th from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Regional District of North Okanagan office parking lot in Coldstream (9848 Aberdeen Road) and from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Enderby Fire Hall (1407 George Street) and the Lumby Fire Hall (1769 Shuswap Avenue).

The Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) residential, curbside Blue Bag Recycling Program ended on May 16, 2014 and was replaced by the Multi-Material British Columbia (MMBC) Curbside Blue Box Recycling Program. Residents are strongly encouraged to participate in the new curbside program for the Packaging and Printed Paper outlined in the MMBC guide which can be found at www.recyclinginbc.ca.

The Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) is pleased to host its third garden workshop of the summer on Wednesday, August 13th from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Xerindipity Demonstration Garden located adjacent to the Okanagan Science Centre in Vernon’s Polson Park.

The Regional District of North Okanagan Board of Directors has adopted the Greater Vernon Water Use and Regulation Bylaw No. 2545, 2014. This bylaw combines regulations from several older bylaws and also introduces updated water use restrictions.
