Update June 28, 2019: Greater Vernon Water: Boil Water Notice RESCINDED - DND / Commonage / Mission Areas

Greater Vernon Water (GVW), in conjunction with Interior Health (IH), advises customers that the BOIL WATER NOTICE is RESCINDED for:

• Commonage Place
• 1208 Mission Road
• 1316 Mission Road
• 1400 Mission Road – NORIC HOUSE
• 1424 Mission Road
•  Areas of the DND grounds including:
   o 1280 Mission Road
   o 1275 Mission Road
   o 700 Hwy 97
• Allan Brooks Nature Centre

GVW informs you that the necessary construction enabling GVW to rescind this notice has been completed. GVW advises customers that water samples have shown water quality is at a Good rating.

Road signs will inform customers of this RESCIND notice, please contact the RDNO at 250-550-3700 or check our website at www.rdno.ca/water.

The Regional District of North Okanagan, in conjunction with Interior Health (IH), wishes to advise customers of Greater Vernon Water (GVW) that a BOIL WATER NOTICE is still in effect for the following residents and facilities:

• Commonage Place
• 1208 Mission Road
• 1316 Mission Road
• 1400 Mission Road – NORIC HOUSE
• 1424 Mission Road
• Some areas of the DND grounds including:
o 1280 Mission Road
o 1275 Mission Road
o 700 Hwy 97
• Allan Brooks Nature Centre

GVW informs you that construction is continuing on relevant infrastructure and the Boil Water Notice is expected to end once construction is complete.

For customers in the above affected areas, water intended for the following uses should be boiled for one minute or use an alternate water source:

• drinking
• brushing teeth
• washing fruits & vegetables to be eaten raw
• preparing any foods
• mixing baby formula
• making beverages or ice.

GVW will continue to monitor water quality.  Increased levels of chlorine are being used to improve water quality and a chlorine odor may be noticeable.
