North Okanagan Environmental Leaders Recognized

The Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) will recognize the 2014 Environmental Leadership Award winners at the Board of Directors meeting to be held on Wednesday, June 4th, 2014.

The RDNO’s Environmental Leadership Awards celebrate those who are supporting strong, healthy, active and resilient communities across the North Okanagan. This event is an opportunity to salute the contributions of groups, individuals and businesses that often go unrecognized.

RDNO Environmental Leadership Award Winners:

Invasive Plants Control Friends of Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park Society
Sustainability Armstrong Spallumcheen Environmental Trust and Ellison Elementary Ozone Class
Parks and Trails Stewardship Ribbons of Green Trails Society
Waste Reduction and Recycling Vernon Christian School
Water Stewardship Allen Brooks Nature Centre and Kingfisher Interpretive Centre
