Xeriscape Workshop

Posted Tuesday, June 6, 2017

The Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) is pleased to host local xeriscape expert Eva Antonijevic, Okanagan Xeriscape Association Program Director, for a Xeriscape Gardening Workshop this Sunday, June 11, from 1:00pm - 3:00pm at the Xerindipity Garden located next to the Okanagan Science Centre in Vernon’s Polson Park.

Eva will showcase her past projects such as the Xeriscape Garden at the Summerland Ornamental Gardens, to illustrate xeriscape planting and maintenance practices in this two-hour workshop.  Workshop participants will receive custom resource materials to help design their own xeriscape retreat.

Tickets are just $10 for the workshop, which is normally $50 per person.  “We want to make sure cost isn’t a barrier to learning how to have a beautiful waterwise garden,” said Jennifer Miles, Water Sustainability Coordinator for the RDNO.  “Eva’s enthusiasm for xeriscape gardening is contagious so participants are in for a fun and informative afternoon, which includes a tour of the Xerindipity Garden.”

This workshop sold out in 2016 so get your tickets soon. Please contact the RDNO to register at 250-550-3794.
