Delcliffe Water Quality Advisory - Rescinded - May 5, 2016

Posted Wednesday, April 27, 2016

Greater Vernon Water (GVW), in conjunction with Interior Health Authority (IH) has rescinded the WATER QUALITY ADVISORY for customers supplied by the Delcliffe Water Utility. The area impacted included Delcliffe Road and Cameron Road. The water is supplied to these areas by Delcliffe Water System in partnership with GVW.

Why were customers affected?
Water for the Delcliffe Water Utility is supplied from Okanagan Lake. Due to increasing water levels, the turbidity (cloudiness) exceeded an average over 1.0 NTU at the Delcliffe Water Intake on April 27, 2016. The turbidity levels have now returned to a GOOD rating, with turbidity levels below 1.0 NTU since April 29, 2016.

Customers will be informed via road signs. For more information regarding turbidity and notification please visit our website at www.rdno.ca/water
