Global Recycling Day Coming March 18

Posted Friday, March 15, 2019

NORTH OKANAGAN – The Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) is bringing awareness to Global Recycling Day coming on March 18 - a day to rethink what we throw away and what we are recycling.

“With recent recycling changes at RDNO Diversion and Disposal Facilities, it is important to emphasize that, although we are unable to provide a full range of recycling services at our facilities specifically, we are still in support of all forms of recycling throughout the Region”, stated Darren Murray, Environmental Coordinator.

The RDNO is reminding residents that British Columbia has an extensive range of recycling programs that are offered at designated sites throughout the region. The Recycling Council of British Columbia offers a comprehensive and helpful resource in finding recycling options in your area through their Recycling Hotline (1-800-667-4321) and their Recyclepedia mobile application and online search tool.
