Greater Vernon Water Supports Drinking Water Week May 4-10, 2014

Greater Vernon Water (GVW) is proud to support Drinking Water Week in BC by providing an opportunity for customers to get to know their drinking water. On Friday, May 9 take a free tour of the Duteau Creek Water Treatment Plant. Tours will take place at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Advance registration is required as bus transportation to the Plant will be provided. Those in attendance will learn about where their water comes from, the required treatment and disinfection processes, and what GVW is doing to supply its customers with clean, safe and sustainable drinking water.

Participants must be over the age of 10 and it is recommended that they be able to walk up and down stairs. For safety reasons, participants must wear long pants and closed toe flat shoes. GVW is proud to participate in Drinking Water Week 2014 and support the BC Water & Waste Association’s initiative to raise awareness of the value of water.
