Greater Vernon Water (GVW) would like to inform customers that the Mission Hill Water Treatment Plant/ Kalamalka Lake water source was shut down due to electrical issues on Saturday December 26, 2015. All Greater Vernon Water customers have been switched to the Duteau Water Treatment plant until the New Year (2016). Further investigation is on-going into the electrical issue.

Customers who are not normally on the DCWTP will notice that the water is much softer and the water has a low alkalinity and pH. This may be of interest to those customers who have in-home water treatment systems or aquariums.

Staff continually monitor water quality and will notify customers if any further change occurs.

For further information, updates will be posted at www.rdno.ca. For more water quality information click on Greater Vernon Water.
