RDNO Seeking Feedback on Rail Trail North Extension and Washroom Concepts

Posted Monday, September 16, 2019

The Regional District of North Okanagan will host an open house tomorrow afternoon to collect public feedback on concepts for the North Extension and Westkal Road washroom design on the Okanagan Rail Trail.

“Both of these projects are expected to be significant improvements to key sections on the North end of the Okanagan Rail Trail, so it’s important to us to hear from the community on their preferences,” said Ashley Gregerson, Communications Officer, RDNO.

Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with staff and provide input on the concepts designs presented. Other RDNO services will also be present to provide information on Recreation and Culture, Waste Reduction initiatives, Emergency Management and Water Utilities.

The event will be held at the Coldstream Women’s Institute on Tuesday, September 17 from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. Attendees can drop in at any time to view display boards, chat with staff, and give their feedback.

Those unable to attend the event are encouraged to fill out an online survey at www.rdno.ca/ORTworks. The survey will be open until September 30, 2019. Residents can also receive instant updates on important RDNO matters by subscribing to the RDNO email list at www.rdno.ca/subscribe.

The Regional District of North Okanagan looks forward to working together with the community during this, and future public consultation processes.
