Regional District of North Okanagan no longer to provide legal plans to the public

Posted Thursday, June 26, 2014

Land Title Survey Authority (LTSA) has recently reminded Local Governments that the practice of sharing Land Title plans and documents is not permitted. The LTSA has advised that records provided to Local Governments are copies of records available through the Land Title Office and LTSA is authorized to make land title records publicly available only upon payment of the appropriate statutory fee. Local Governments do not have the authority to distribute, sell or provide access to these materials.

RDNO staff can no longer provide legal plans to the public. To obtain a legal plan go to a registry agent (www.bcapra.org), real property lawyer, notary public, or land surveyor. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
