Recyclable Glass

The Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) accepts container glass (bottles and jars) free of charge at RDNO Recycling and Disposal Facilities (RDFs) and Transfer Stations (TSs) including:

  • Greater Vernon Recycling and Disposal Facility
  • Armstrong Spallumcheen Recycling and Disposal Facility
  • Lumby Recycling and Disposal Facility
  • Kingfisher Transfer Station
  • Cherryville Transfer Station
  • Silver Star Transfer Station

The Enderby Bottle Depot also accepts container glass free of charge. The glass is collected and reused for operational purposes at RDNO RDFs.

Recycle BC has established four Packaging and Printed Paper depots in the North Okanagan which accept glass free of charge. Residents may take container glass to the following Recycle BC depots:

  • Interior Freight and Bottle Depot, Vernon
  • Venture Training Centre, Vernon
  • Armstrong Spallumcheen Bottle Depot, Armstrong
  • Lumby Bottle Depot, Lumby

Chasers Bottle Depot in Vernon also accepts glass containers at no charge.
