The Vernon Community Arts Centre

The Vernon Community Arts Centre is run by the Vernon Arts Council, and offers a wide variety of arts programs, space for local artists, and a venue for art events.  The Arts Centre is dedicated to the development of the arts by providing quality art programs and workshops to the residents of Vernon and surrounding area. The Vernon and District Performing Arts Centre

The Vernon and District Performing Arts Centre is a community venue for performances and has become a cornerstone in the North Okanagan arts community.   Situated alongside picturesque Swan Lake Creek, the Centre attracts groups from beyond the Okanagan Valley, local talent, theatre, family entertainment, and concert series, keeping the staff busy and audiences happy.

The Greater Vernon Museum and Archives

The Archives at the Vernon Museum are among the most respected in the province. The history of the Vernon area is demonstrated from the first Salish Indian settlements, through the gold miners and cattle ranchers of the 1800's, to Vernon's development as a transportation and fruit-growing centre around the turn of the century.  The museum houses archives, research facilities and rotating displays. Search the Archives online and find out more about the museum at www.vernonmuseum.ca.

The Vernon Public Art Gallery

The Vernon Public Art Gallery plays an important part of cultural tourism in the region, and is a centre for educational and cultural activities in the North Okanagan. The Art Gallery is located at 3228 - 31st Avenue, or visit www.vernonpublicartgallery.com for more information.

Okanagan Regional Library

The Okanagan Regional Library (ORL) is your library – your most economical, sustainable, and relevant source for information and entertainment. Various services are also offered online through the ORL website at www.orl.bc.ca.

Greater Vernon Summer Artisan Vendor Pilot Program

As part of a 2013 pilot program, Greater Vernon Parks, Recreation and Culture is inviting artists and crafters to set-up their booths to sell and display self-produced, original pieces of work in parks during the summer season.  We encourage artists to work on their craft(s) onsite to provide live demonstrations for the interested public.  Vendors are permitted to set up at Polson Park and Kin Beach Park, however other parks may be considered upon request.  There are limited number of spaces at each location, and they are on a first-come basis, daily.
