Adopt a Park, Trail or Stream

The Adopt-a-Park program was started in 2010, and has been very successful!  This is an opportunity for local neighbourhood groups to get together and become stewards of their local park.  Do you have a park that you would like to adopt?

Check out our Adopt-a-Park application package for more details.

The Adopt-a-Trail program was officially launched in 2010 and since then most of the trail sections have been adopted!  For adopting a section of trail, the group or individual will get recognition by a sign placed on (or near) their section of trail.  Like to learn more?

Check out our Adopt-a-Trail application package for more details.

The Adopt a stream program was started in 2009 to support the health of our local waterways.  Since then, it has   successfully established a list of local stream stewards who, twice a year, ensure that their stretch of stream is clean.  Through this program, the Regional District and City of Vernon offer training opportunities.

Check out our Adopt-a-Stream application package for more details.
