The Regional District has established a committee consisting of (2) two representatives of property owners and/or residents of Silver Star, (1) one representative from the Silver Star non-resort business community, (2) two representatives from the resort, (1) One elected representative from the City of Vernon, and the Director for Electoral Area “C” to advise on matters referred to it by Regional District Administration through the Board of Directors of the RDNO and the Electoral Area “C” Director pertaining to the services defined below.
- Silver Star Regional Planning matters;
- Silver Star Water Utility operational matters;
- Silver Star Street Lighting operational matters;
- Silver Star Garbage Collection operational matters; and
- Ridge Subdivision Drainage operational matters
This committee, called the Silver Star Services Advisory Committee, consists of the following members:
- Ted Pleavin
- Stan Field
- Brian James
- Jack Gilroy
- Ian Grant
- Michael Sherwood
The committee meets on the afternoons of the Thursday after the third Monday of each month.
The staff liaison for this committee is Maggie Knox, Manager of Community Services.
