COLDSTREAM, BC – As part of an ongoing effort to provide enhanced customer service at area Recycling and Disposal Facilities, the Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) is pleased to offer an additional method of payment at the Greater Vernon Recycling and Disposal Facility (GVRDF), the Armstrong/Spallumcheen Recycling and Disposal Facility (ASRDF) and the Lumby Recycling and Disposal Facility (LRDF).
Effective September 1st, customers at these facilities will be able to pay their tipping fees using a prepaid tipping fees card.
“The RDNO is pleased to offer this additional payment option to customers at the GVRDF, ASRDF and LRDF. We believe that many of our small commercial customers will find this a convenient way to pay their RDF tipping fees” said Dale Danallanko, RDNO Recycling and Disposal Facilities Coordinator. “Credit cards and debit cards and cash are also accepted at these facilities. The RDNO wants to provide RDF customers with a range of payment options.”
According to Dee Danish, RDNO Assistant Controller, “The addition of the prepaid tipping fees card as a payment option is another component in our ongoing effort to improve the RDNO’s internal controls.”
“The prepaid tipping fees card is aimed at our smaller commercial customers who do not have credit accounts” said Danish.
Prepaid tipping fees cards are available in denomination of $200 and $500 and can be purchased by cash or debit card at the RDNO office on Aberdeen Road. They cannot be purchased at RDFs. The prepaid cards are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-returnable. Prepaid cards are not reloadable at this time, so customers will need to purchase a new card when their balance is zero. Prepaid tipping fees cards may not be used to make payments on outstanding accounts receivable.
