The regional District is now advancing Regional Growth Strategy implementation. Priority implementation measures for 2011 to 2016 will be identified in the near future, which include:
- Implementation and Monitoring Plans: will be developed in the near future. These include which indicators we will be measuring, how we will track out process and the opportunities for involvement of the public during implementation.
- Five Year Action Plan: will contain a series of action and tasks that will address priority Regional Growth Strategy policies and guide implementation over the next five years.
- Official Community Plans: will have a Regional Context Statement that describes the relationship between the Regional Growth Strategy and the policies of the Official Community Plan.
- Implementation Agreements: are agreements between different levels of government on how to address specific key regional policies that need cooperation and collaboration.
- Regionally Significant Projects: are projects that are regional in scale or scope that may be part of action planning or other processes to address regional issues or policy directions.
