Detour Required to Access RDNO Office Starting June 16

Type
Public Notice

Starting Monday, June 16, residents looking to access the RDNO office located at 9848 Aberdeen Road will have to take a detour through Inverness Road.

As stated by the District of Coldstream in a media release relating to their Sanitary Sewer project on Selkirk Drive:

“Sanitary sewer works associated with the Aberdeen Sanitary Sewer Project are currently underway on Selkirk Drive. Due to the depth of the excavation and safety concerns for local traffic and pedestrians, Selkirk Drive will be closed at Aberdeen Road starting June 16, from 7:00 am and 6:00 pm Monday to Friday, and potentially during some weekend hours.

Detour Information:

  • Passenger vehicles and light trucks will be detoured via the paved path between Inverness Drive and Selkirk Drive, as indicated on the images below.  Traffic on the pathway will be controlled by on-site traffic control personnel.
  • Inverness Drive can be accessed from, or provide access to, Sarsons Road and surrounding areas, including Aberdeen Road and Highway 6.
  • Heavy-duty trucks, vehicles towing trailers, buses, and emergency services will be granted access through the construction zone.  Please contact Chapman Industries (contact number below) in advance to coordinate access.

The intersection of Selkirk Drive and Aberdeen Road will be reopened daily, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 am. Please refer to the images below to determine the best for you to access the RDNO office.

Questions related to construction, such as schedule and traffic management, should be directed to Chapman Industries – 250-549-2907 (office) or to 250-550-6563 (Site Supervisor).”

We understand that this will inconvenience residents needing access to the RDNO office for several weeks. Still, we appreciate your patience and understanding as the District of Colstream completes this project.

Maps outlining the detour routes as provided by the District of Coldstream, are below.
