UPDATE: Water Quality Advisory Issued
The Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) advises residents in the Delcliffe area that they will be on a precautionary Water Quality Advisory (WQA) while the system is being supplied by the temporary reservoir. This precautionary WQA is effective starting September 24, 2024.
The water treatment provided by the RDNO will be maintained; however, some customers in the affected area may wish to boil their water for at least one minute when preparing any food, drinking, washing fruits & vegetables, making beverages or ice or when brushing teeth.
The WQA will be rescinded once the project to the existing reservoir has been completed and testing has confirmed that the existing reservoir meets drinking water guidelines. The project on the existing reservoir is expected to be completed by October 30, 2024.

The Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) advises customers supplied by Greater Vernon Water (GVW) in the Delcliffe area that treated water will be supplied by a temporary reservoir while upgrades are being completed on the existing reservoir. The temporary reservoir is scheduled to be put into service on September 24, 2024.
The project will require the existing reservoir to be drained to allow the installation of a new liner. Water quality sampling of the temporary reservoir will occur before water is released from the temporary reservoir into the distribution system to ensure water quality is maintained. Upon completion of the project, the existing reservoir will be filled, sampled and put back into service at which time the temporary reservoir will be removed from service. The work is estimated to be completed the week of October 30th.
