ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNICIAN ASSISTANT - (Student/Seasonal)

We have an upcoming opening for the student/seasonal position of Environmental Technician Assistant. The successful candidate has a Grade 12 Diploma, is enrolled in a post-secondary program ideally related to natural resource, environmental or water studies, and holds a valid Class 5 BC driver’s licence without restrictions. First Aid certification is considered an asset.

GIS TECHNOLOGIST (Full Time)

We have an immediate opening for the position of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Technologist.  The successful candidate will have a technical diploma, or an applied degree in GIS or Computer Sciences, and hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license, as well as local government GIS experience and knowledge of asset management principles.

INVASIVE PLANT CONTROL CREW MEMBERS AND TEAM LEADER (Student/Seasonal)

Competition No. 19-01

We have upcoming openings for the student/seasonal positions of Invasive Plant Control Crew Members.  The successful candidates will have a Grade 12 Diploma, enrolled in or graduated from programs related to agriculture, natural resource/environmental studies, sciences (biology and chemistry) or landscaping, and hold a valid Class 5 BC driver’s licence without restrictions. Previous experience in applying herbicides or other vegetative management control techniques are considered assets.  A willingness to obtain an Industrial Vegetation Management & Noxious Weed Pesticide Applicator Certificate is preferred.

PARKS AND TRAILS LABOURER (Student/Seasonal)

Competition No. 19-02

We have an upcoming opening for the student/seasonal position of Parks and Trails Labourer. The successful candidate has a Grade 12 Diploma, is enrolled in a post-secondary program ideally related to agriculture, natural resource/environmental studies, sciences or landscaping programs and holds a valid Class 5 BC driver’s licence without restrictions. First Aid certification is considered an asset.

UTILITIES ASSISTANT - AGRICULTURAL WATER (Student/Seasonal)

Competition No. 19-08

We have an upcoming opening for the student/seasonal position of Utilities Assistant – Agricultural Water.  The successful candidate will have a Grade 12 Diploma, is enrolled in or a recent graduate of a post-secondary institution in a water science program and holds a valid Class 5 BC driver’s licence. Being familiar with electrical wiring would be an asset.

We have an upcoming opening for the student/seasonal position of Utilities Assistant - GIS.  The successful candidate will have a Grade 12 Diploma, enrolled in or graduated from a post-secondary program related to Geomatics, Civil Engineering or Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and a valid Class 5 BC driver’s licence. Demonstrated health and safety knowledge and First Aid training are considered assets.

UTILITIES ASSISTANT - WATER CONSERVATION (Student/Seasonal)

Competition No. 19-05

We have an upcoming opening for the student/seasonal position of Utilities Assistant – Water Conservation.  The successful candidate will have a Grade 12 Diploma, be enrolled in or a recent graduate of a post-secondary program related to the Environment, Engineering and/or Water, and hold a valid Class 5 BC driver’s licence. Previous experience in data collection and analysis or public outreach are considered assets.

We have an upcoming opening for the student/seasonal position of Utilities Assistant – Water Quality.  The successful candidate will have a Grade 12 Diploma, be enrolled in or a recent graduate of post-secondary program related to the Environment and Water, and hold a valid Class 5 BC driver’s licence. Previous work in a lab or in a position with field experience are considered assets.
