DIVERSION AND DISPOSAL FACILITIES OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR (Regular, Full-Time)

We have an immediate opening for the position of Diversion and Disposal Facilities (DDF) Operations Supervisor. The successful candidate will have a university degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Science, Solid Waste Management or related field.  Supervisory skills and a valid Class 5 BC driver’s license are required.  Level 1 First Aid certification and previous work experience in a landfill setting will be considered assets.

ENVIRONMENTAL ASSISTANT (Student/Seasonal)

We have an upcoming opening for the student/seasonal position of Environmental Assistant. The successful candidate is enrolled in a post-secondary program ideally related to natural resource, environmental or water studies, and holds a valid Class 5 BC driver’s licence without restrictions. First Aid certification is considered an asset.

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT, PLANNING AND BUILDING (Regular, Full-Time)

We have an opening for the regular, full-time position of Executive Assistant, Planning and Building.  The successful candidate is a graduate of a two year office or business administration program, with a minimum of two years of experience in a senior support role, preferably within a local government setting, and a valid BC driver’s license.

PARKS AND TRAILS LABOURER (Student/Seasonal - 2 Positions)

We have two upcoming openings for the student/seasonal position of Parks and Trails Labourer. The successful candidates will have a Grade 12 Diploma, be enrolled in a post-secondary program ideally related to agriculture, natural resource/environmental studies, sciences or landscaping programs and hold a valid Class 5 BC driver’s licence without restrictions. First Aid certification is considered an asset.

UTILITIES ASSISTANT - AGRICULTURAL WATER (Student/Seasonal)

Competition No. 20-01

We have an upcoming opening for the student/seasonal position of Utilities Assistant – Agricultural Water.  The successful candidate will have a Grade 12 Diploma, is enrolled in or a recent graduate of a post-secondary institution in a water science program and holds a valid Class 5 BC driver’s licence. Being familiar with electrical wiring would be an asset.

UTILITIES ASSISTANT - GIS (Student/Seasonal)

We have an upcoming opening for the student/seasonal position of Utilities Assistant - GIS.  The successful candidate will have a Grade 12 Diploma, enrolled in or graduated from a post-secondary program related to Geomatics, Civil Engineering or Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and a valid Class 5 BC driver’s licence. Demonstrated health and safety knowledge and First Aid training are considered assets.

UTILITIES ASSISTANT - WATER CONSERVATION (Student/Seasonal)

Competition No. 20-04

We have an upcoming opening for the student/seasonal position of Utilities Assistant – Water Conservation.  The successful candidate will have a Grade 12 Diploma, be enrolled in or a recent graduate of a post-secondary program related to the Environment, Engineering and/or Water, and hold a valid Class 5 BC driver’s licence. Previous experience in data collection and analysis or public outreach are considered assets.

Competition No. 20-02

We have an upcoming opening for the student/seasonal position of Utilities Assistant – Water Quality.  The successful candidate will have a Grade 12 Diploma, be enrolled in or a recent graduate of post-secondary program related to the Environment and Water, and hold a valid Class 5 BC driver’s licence. Previous work in a lab or in a position with field experience are considered assets.
