The Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) advises customers of the Mabel Lake Water Utility (MLW) that the planned leak detection work that began on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 is now complete and the system continues to operate normally. A map of the water utility is below.


Original Notice - May 29, 2024

You may experience some cloudiness and/or air in the water. Please run a cold water tap at low volume until the water has cleared. An outside tap is preferred.

The Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) advises customers of the Mabel Lake Water Utility (MLW) that planned leak detection work will begin on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 and is planned for the remainder of that week between the hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. A map of the water utility is below.

This work may cause cloudiness, air in the water, or temporary interruptions of water. Customers may wish to store a short-term supply of water before the work begins.

If you experience a water interruption, please run a cold water tap closest to where the water enters your house before your hot water tank, home filtration, or taps with aerators, once service has been restored. An outside tap is preferred.
