We recognize that community gardening is a valuable recreation activity that can contribute to food security, community development, environmental awareness, positive social interaction and community education.
Nexus BC administers three community gardens in Greater Vernon containing plots available to members of the community to rent for seasonal use. Current locations include:
- East Hill Community Garden (900 Shantz Road)
- West Vernon Community Garden (3602 30 Ave)
- sncəcmałqtn Community Garden (4122 East Vernon Road)
Please note that these gardens are not open to the public, and any items planted within garden plots are the property of the plot owners.
