Solid waste management involves many individuals and organizations including you! The RDNO operates, monitors and maintains Diversion & Disposal Facilities and Transfer Stations where residents can dispose of garbage and divert certain materials from landfill. We also develop and support information resources, waste reduction initiatives and strategic planning to support our goal of reducing per capita waste in the region by over 35% between 2018-2028.
