Explore the unique trail that follows BX Creek, where the water flows from the mountains to the valley bottom. This trail currently has three sections:
The BX Falls section has several bridge crossings and steep stairs but is suitable for families and a great trail running path. From the Tillicum parking area, it is a short walk to the falls, or you could challenge yourself with a 6km round trip trail. Also accessible from Star Road. Dogs are permitted on leash.
There is also access off Deleenheer Road that provides greater accessibility for those with limited mobility while maintaining a unique wilderness experience through a black cottonwood riparian ecosystem and closer to town. Dogs are permitted on leash only in this section.
The Upper BX Creek trail section (historically known as Spanky's) is a 4.9km trail network from Sovereign Lake Road to Forsberg Road. This trail offers a physically challenging experience for advanced mountain bikers, hikers, and trail runners. Due to the demanding nature of this trail, users should come well prepared. Parking is available at the upper trailhead off Silver Star Road, with additional parking on Forsberg Road.
