Due to ongoing construction, a Precautionary Water Quality Advisory is in place for customers in the area identified above (see Map). The construction is expected to finish on Friday, June 13th, at 5:00 PM, but the advisory will remain until at least Tuesday, June 17th, 2025, while bacterial testing is completed.
Once construction wraps up on Friday, water system flushing will immediately begin. During this process, you might notice lower water pressure, discoloured water, or air bubbles in the system. If you experience any of these issues, run a cold water tap until the water runs clear—an outdoor tap is preferred if available.
The level of treatment provided by the RDNO has been maintained; however, some customers may wish to boil their water for at least one minute when preparing food, drinking, washing fruits and vegetables, making beverages or ice or brushing their teeth.
Thank you for your patience as we ensure water quality remains safe.
Updates will be posted to www.rdno.ca/news (filter by Water Notices) and once the WQA is rescinded that notice will be hand delivered.
If you have any questions, please contact the RDNO Utilities Department at 250-550-3700.
