RESCINDED: Greater Vernon Water - Precautionary Water Quality Advisory - 849-899 Mt Bulman Pl

Type
Water Notice

In conjunction with Interior Health, the Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) advises the above customers supplied by Greater Vernon Water that they are on a precautionary Water Quality Advisory (WQA) as of 7:30am, Monday, July 7, 2025. The area affected includes 849-899 Mt Bulman Pl (see map).

Operators will be shutting off water service to perform leak detection tests in the area. In preparation for this, Greater Vernon Water requests that you remove any outdoor or indoor hoses from standing water or disconnect them from the water system to prevent any back siphonage during the shutdowns. The RDNO is issuing a precautionary WQA to the affected areas and sampling the water once the water service resumes to ensure the continued safety of the water system.

This notice will be in effect until Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 5:00pm.

What should affected customers do?

When the water service resumes, properties in the area may experience reduced water pressure, discolouration of the water, and/or air. Please run a cold water tap until the water has cleared.  An outside tap is preferred.

The level of treatment provided by the RDNO has been maintained; however, some customers may wish to boil their water for at least one minute when preparing food, drinking, washing fruits and vegetables, making beverages or ice or brushing their teeth.

If you have any questions, please contact the RDNO Utilities Department at 250-550-3700.
