Project Description
The Silver Star Firehall Upgrades project involves replacing the aging cedar siding on the firehall, which is over 35 years old and in poor condition. A 2024 condition assessment identified the need for immediate replacement. Additionally, the cedar siding poses a significant fire hazard due to the firehall's location in an extreme wildfire risk area. The project will improve the building’s durability and safety by installing non-combustible or fire-resistant siding. The roof and exterior siding needed to be replaced. The siding will be replaced with metal siding to ensure the building is FireSmart compliant.
