Update - October 16, 2025 - 4:00pm
After investigation, the planned water main shut down for a water service repair is being delayed to October 17, 2025. This shut down will cause a water outage to some customers and when water is restored, some customers on Fraser, Franklyn, and Banner Roads will be on a Boil Water Notice (BWN) (see map of affected area).
The BWN will be in effect until sampling results confirm that the drinking water is safe.
Why is this notice in place?
During a planned water service repair scheduled for October 17, 2025, a portion of the water main will be shut down and depressurized, which will cause water loss to customers between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and could be extended if unforeseen circumstances arise. It is suggested that you store a short-term water supply for cooking and toilet use before the interruption.
What should affected customers do?
When water service resumes, properties in the area may experience reduced water pressure, discolouration of the water, and/or air in the water. Please run cold water until the water has cleared. An outside tap(s) is preferred.
All customers should boil their water for at least one minute when preparing food, drinking, washing fruits and vegetables, making beverages or ice or brushing their teeth. The RDNO will notify customers when the BWN is rescinded.
