In conjunction with Interior Health, the Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) advises some customers supplied by Greater Vernon Water that they are on a precautionary Boil Water Notice (BWN) until sampling results confirm the drinking water is safe. The affected area includes 1500 Pottery Rd, 1502-1603 Pottery Rd and 1500-1603 18 Ave.
A water main break in this area has resulted in a loss of water pressure. This BWN will remain in effect until the RDNO can confirm the water quality is within normal operating limits.
What should affected customers do?
All customers should boil their water for at least one minute when preparing food, drinking, washing fruits and vegetables, making beverages or ice or brushing their teeth.
Properties in the area may experience reduced water pressure, discolouration of the water, and/or air. Please run a cold water tap until the water has cleared. An outside tap is preferred, but bathtubs may be used if outside taps are unavailable.
