19 and 20 Avenue from 19 to 22 Street Water Main Replacement

This water main project replaces approximately 442 metres of 1975 200 / 150mm diameter ductile iron water main. This section of water main was identified as a high-priority replacement project based on the calculated risk using RiLCAMP (Greater Vernon Water risk tool) and high number of breaks. The water mains are approximately 49 years old and are located in a highly corrosive area of soil (detrimental to metallic materials), with an average of 2.3 breaks per 100 metres, ranking it as having one of the highest densities of breaks in Greater Vernon Water.
