Project Description
This project is funded by the Electoral Area B Community Works Fund in the amount of $70,000.
Install a backup generator at the BX-Swan Lake Fire Department, located at 5764 Silver Star Road, Vernon, BC, to provide reliable emergency power during extended outages. The generator will support critical services, including dispatch, communications systems, shoreline power to fire apparatus, emergency lighting, bay door operation, and other essential fire hall functions.
This project aligns with Community Works Fund (CWF) objectives by enhancing public safety infrastructure, improving emergency preparedness, and increasing community resilience to service disruptions caused by power outages and emergency events, ensuring the fire department can maintain continuous emergency response capabilities and service delivery to residents during emergencies and power interruptions.
