Project Description
This water main project replaces approximately 750 metres of 1968/1975 150/75/50mm diameter Asbestos Cement (AC) water main, identified as high-priority replacement project based on the calculated risk using RiLCAMP (GVW risk tool) and high number of breaks (15). The water mains are approximately 50 to 57 years old, located in a highly corrosive area of soil (substantial soil movement), with an average of two (2) breaks per 100 metres.
Design has been approved as part of the 2026 budget and construction is anticipated to take place in 2028.
