Project Description
The proposed 2.5 km extension of the Grey Canal Trail through the Frind property is a strategic investment that aligns with the Greater Vernon Trails and Natural Spaces (GVTNS) Master Plan and the Official Community Plan (OCP). As per the acquisition agreement, Frind will be responsible for completing environmental assessments and permits, constructing a roughed-in trail corridor (including cut/fill, blasting, and retaining structures) to accommodate a 3 m finished surface, and installing drainage structures. RDNO will be responsible for the entire parking lot portion of the project and finishing the trail with aggregate surfacing, installing pedestrian bridges, signage, guardrails, and garbage receptacles.
