Pursuant to Sections 272 and 274 of the Local Government Act, notice is hereby given that the Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) intends to provide assistance to Interior Recycling, through a Partnering Agreement, for the provision of Household Hazardous Waste Collection and Disposal Services by Interior Recycling on behalf of the RDNO.
The nature of the assistance is financial and provides total assistance in the amount of $1,173,664 over a five (5) year term (November 1, 2025 to October 31, 2030)
The Partnering Agreement ensures the RDNO residents have a safe and responsible disposal option for household hazardous waste such as corrosive, toxic, flammable, or reactive materials. The new partnering agreement continues the partnering agreement that was established in 2020 and provides continuity of service for the Household Hazardous Waste program that started at Interior Recycling in 2015.
