In conjunction with Interior Health, the Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) advises some customers supplied by Greater Vernon Water that the Boil Water Notice (BWN) issued August 19th in the North BX (see map) has been RESCINDED.
Bacterial testing results have come back clear, and disinfection levels are within normal drinking water standards in the distribution system.

In conjunction with Interior Health, the Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) advises some customers supplied by Greater Vernon Water that they are on a precautionary Boil Water Notice (BWN) until sampling results confirm the drinking water is safe. The area affected includes properties in the North BX area (see map).
A water service break has resulted in a loss of water pressure. The RDNO is issuing a precautionary BWN to the affected areas and sampling the water to ensure the continued safety of the water system.
What should affected customers do?
Properties in the area may experience reduced water pressure, discolouration of the water, and/or air. Please run a cold water tap until the water has cleared. An outside tap is preferred.
The level of service and treatment provided by the RDNO has been maintained; however, customers in the affected area should boil their water for at least one minute when preparing food, drinking, washing fruits & vegetables, making beverages or ice or when their brushing teeth.
