Original Notice - December 16, 2025

In conjunction with Interior Health, the Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) advises some customers supplied by Greater Vernon Water that they are on a precautionary Boil Water Notice (BWN) until sampling results confirm the drinking water is safe. The area affected includes Stepping Stones Cres and 360-380 Stepping Stones Rd (see map).

A power outage in the area has resulted in a loss of water pressure for some customers. The RDNO is issuing a precautionary BWN to the affected areas and sampling the water to ensure the continued safety of the water system.

What should affected customers do?

Properties in the area may experience reduced water pressure, discolouration of the water, and/or air. Please run a cold water tap until the water has cleared.  An outside tap is preferred, but bathtubs may be used if outside taps are unavailable during the cooler months.

The level of service and treatment provided by the RDNO has been maintained; however, customers in the affected area should boil their water for at least one minute when preparing food, drinking, washing fruits & vegetables, making beverages or ice or when their brushing teeth.

When this notice is rescinded, it will be posted on the RDNO website, sent out to email subscribers and the locally placed signs will be updated. If you wish to subscribe, please visit www.rdno.ca/subscribe.

If you have any questions, please contact the RDNO Utilities Department at 250-550-3700.
