Original notice - June 24, 2025

BC Hydro will be conducting electrical pole replacements in the area on June 24, 2025 from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. During this time, customers on Rochdell Rd, 5201-5621 Reid Rd, 5315-5431 Learmouth Rd, and 5473-5495 Learmouth Rd (see map) may lose water as a result. Customers in the affected area will be on a Water Quality Advisory (WQA) starting at 10:00 am June 24, 2025, until testing has been completed to ensure the continued safety of the water system.

What should affected customers do?

To help prevent backflow events, please disconnect any hoses or tubing from the water system if they are submerged in standing water.

When the water service resumes, properties in the area may experience reduced water pressure, discolouration of the water, and/or air in the system. Please run a cold water tap until the water has cleared.  An outside tap is preferred.

The level of treatment provided by the RDNO has been maintained; however, some customers may wish to boil their water for at least one minute when preparing food, drinking, washing fruits and vegetables, making beverages or ice or brushing their teeth.
