Original Notice - October 20, 2026

The Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO), in conjunction with Interior Health, advises some customers on Franklyn, Fraser, and Banner Roads (see map of affected area) supplied by the Whitevale Water Utility (WVW) of a water outage due to a water main break on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. Crews are on-site completing repairs.

Once water has been returned to service, affected customers will be placed on a precautionary Boil Water Notice (BWN) until the water has been tested and confirmed to meet acceptable guidelines.

What should affected customers do?

When water service resumes, properties in the area may experience reduced water pressure, discolouration of the water, and/or air in the water. Please run cold water until the water has cleared.  An outside tap(s) is preferred.

The level of treatment provided by the RDNO has been maintained; however, all customers should boil their water for at least one minute when preparing food, drinking, washing fruits and vegetables, making beverages or ice or brushing their teeth. The RDNO will notify customers when the BWN is rescinded.
