Original: May 5, 2025

The Regional District of North Okanagan, in conjunction with Interior Health, advises some customers supplied by the Whitevale Water Utility that they are on a Boil Water Notice as of May 5, 2025. See map for affected customers.

What should affected customers do?

All customers should boil their water for at least one minute when preparing food, drinking, washing fruits and vegetables, making beverages or ice or brushing their teeth.

Why is this notice in place?

Affected customers who receive water from the Whitevale Water Utility are on a Boil Water Notice.   During a water service tie-in, the water main was impacted, and a portion of the water utility was shut down and depressurized. The repair has been completed, and the utility is responding to this issue by flushing the impacted water mains and completing bacteriological sampling to ensure that no contaminants have been introduced to the distribution system.
