Original Notice – September 12, 2025

Scheduled upgrades in the area will result in a water outage on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 between the hours of 8:00 am – 7:00 pm. Once water is returned, in conjunction with Interior Health, the Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) advises some customers supplied by Greater Vernon Water that they are on a precautionary Boil Water Notice (BWN) until sampling results confirm the drinking water is safe.

The area affected includes 5401-5643 MacDonald Rd (odd addresses only), Schram Rd, Collison Rd, 5808-6402 Rimer Rd, Herry Rd (even addresses only), Holbrook Rd, Sanford Rd, Carlton Rd, 6851 and 6931 Pleasant Valley Rd (see map).

Scheduled upgrades in the area will require a one-day water outage. Following the outage, the RDNO is issuing a precautionary BWN to the affected area while sampling of the water occurs to ensure the continued safety of the water system.

What should affected customers do?

During the BWN, properties in the area may experience reduced water pressure, discolouration of the water, and/or air in their water. Please run a cold water tap until the water has cleared.  An outside tap is preferred.

The level of service and treatment provided by the RDNO has been maintained; however, customers in the affected area should boil their water for at least one minute when preparing food, drinking, washing fruits & vegetables, making beverages or ice or when their brushing teeth.

When this notice is rescinded, it will be posted on the RDNO website, sent out to email subscribers and the locally placed signs will be updated. If you wish to subscribe, please visit www.rdno.ca/subscribe.

If you have any questions, please contact the RDNO Utilities Department at 250-550-3700.
