The Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) is proud to announce the opening of Goose Lake Range Park into the Greater Vernon Trails and Natural Spaces service.

This new natural space offers over 3 kilometres of non-motorized, multi-use gravel trails designed for accessibility and enjoyment. The park spans approximately 113 acres (46 hectares) and offers opportunities for walking, cycling, and connecting with nature while protecting sensitive ecosystems.

Located on a scenic plateau between Swan Lake and Okanagan Lake, the park boasts gentle slopes, native grasslands, and wetlands, offering a unique outdoor experience for both residents and visitors.

“Goose Lake Range Park is a fantastic addition to our region, offering accessible trails and preserving the natural beauty of the North Okanagan”, stated Bob Fleming, Chair of the Greater Vernon Advisory Committee. “This project reflects our commitment to creating spaces where people can enjoy the outdoors and experience amazing views, while respecting the environment.”

Directions to Goose Lake Range Park:

  • From Vernon, follow Highway 97 North (towards Kamloops)
  • Turn left on Mendenhall Road
  • Continue as Mendenhall becomes Stepping Stones Road
  • Take a slight right at the Goose Lake Range Park signage
  • Follow the access road approximately 1 km to the parking lot
