Greater Vernon Water - Boil Water Notice - The Rise and Okanagan Hills Blvd Areas

Type
Water Notice

The Regional District of North Okanagan, in conjunction with Interior Health, advises customers in the Rise and Okanagan Hills Areas (see map) that they are on a precautionary Boil Water Notice until sampling results confirm the drinking water is safe.

A power outage in the area has resulted in a loss of water or water pressure for some customers.

What should affected customers do?

All customers should boil their water for at least one minute when preparing food, drinking, washing fruits and vegetables, making beverages or ice or brushing their teeth.

Properties in the area may experience reduced water pressure, discolouration of the water, and/or air. Please run a cold water tap until the water has cleared.  An outside tap is preferred, but bathtubs may be used if outside taps are unavailable.
