In conjunction with Interior Health, the Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) advises that the precautionary BOIL WATER NOTICES issued July 31, 2026 and August 2, 2026, to customers at 1806-1909 18 St, 2001 18 St, 1800 20 Ave, 1706 21 Ave, and 1605-1801 Pottery Rd (odd addresses only) (see map) has been RESCINDED.
Bacterial testing results and disinfection levels have confirmed that the water quality is within normal drinking water standards in the distribution system.
The Boil Water Notice issued to customers at 1500-1608 18 Ave has been amended to a Water Quality Advisory. Please see the separately issued notice below for further information.

GREATER VERNON WATER – BOIL WATER NOTICE AMENDED TO WATER QUALITY ADVISORY - 1500-1603 18 AVE
In conjunction with Interior Health, the Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) advises that the precautionary BOIL WATER NOTICE issued August 2, 2026, to customers at 1500-1608 18 Ave (see map) has been AMENDED to the previously implemented WATER QUALITY ADVISORY.
Bacterial testing results and disinfection levels have confirmed that the water quality is within normal drinking water standards in the distribution system. However, this area remains supplied by a temporary overland pipe which has less physical protection from potential damage than the buried permeant water pipe (buried vs. overland). Additionally, affected customers may notice water temperatures that are warmer than normal during the day.
This notice will remain in effect until the water main replacement project is completed, which is expected to be approximately two (2) weeks.
What should affected customers do?
The level of treatment provided by the RDNO has been maintained; however, some customers with weakened immune systems and/or those wishing additional protection may wish to boil their water for at least one minute when preparing food, drinking, washing fruits and vegetables, making beverages or ice or brushing their teeth.

In conjunction with Interior Health, the Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) advises some customers supplied by Greater Vernon Water that they are on a precautionary Boil Water Notice (BWN) until sampling results confirm the drinking water is safe. The affected area includes 1500 to 1603 Pottery Rd and 1500 to 1603 18 Ave.
A water main break in this area has resulted in a loss of water pressure. While there was no contamination noted during the repair, all steps are being taken to confirm the water quality.
What should affected customers do?
All customers should boil their water for at least one minute when preparing food, drinking, washing fruits and vegetables, making beverages or ice or brushing their teeth.
Properties in the area may experience reduced water pressure, discolouration of the water, and/or air. Please run a cold water tap until the water has cleared. An outside tap is preferred, but bathtubs may be used if outside taps are unavailable.
