Original notice - June 4, 2026

In conjunction with Interior Health, the Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) advises some customers supplied by Greater Vernon Water that they are on a precautionary Boil Water Notice (BWN). The affected area includes 6475-7100 Cosens Bay Rd, Grieve Dr, 9701-9710, 10303, 11200 Coldstream Creek Rd, 11306-11604 Coldstream Creek Rd (even addresses only), Hillside Dr, Priest Valley Dr, Lochhaven Dr, Lochhaven Crt, Summit Dr, Wyatt Way, Wyatt Crt, Upper Summit Dr, 6704, 3736, 7001, 11190, 11506-11812 Palfrey Dr West, Palfrey Dr East, 7203 Cunliffe Rd, Marwood Pl, and 13100, 13400, 13550 Kidston Rd (see map).

During an infrastructure improvement project in the area, operations crews needed to unexpectedly briefly turn off the water main that services both agricultural and domestic customers in the area. This service interruption resulted in a loss of water pressure for some customers. As a result, the RDNO is issuing a precautionary BWN to affected properties until testing confirms the continued safety of the water system. The BWN is expected to remain in effect until Tuesday June 9, 2026.

What should affected customers do?

When water returns, properties in the area may experience reduced water pressure, discolouration of the water, and/or air in the water. Please run a cold water tap until the water has cleared.

The level of service and treatment provided by the RDNO has been maintained; however, customers in the affected area should boil their water for at least one minute when preparing food, drinking, washing fruits & vegetables, making beverages or ice or when their brushing teeth.

When this notice is rescinded, it will be posted on the RDNO website, sent out to email subscribers and the locally placed signs will be updated. If you wish to subscribe, please visit www.rdno.ca/subscribe.

If you have any questions, please contact the RDNO Utilities Department at 250-550-3700.
