UPDATE: Greater Vernon Water – Water Source Change

Type
Water Notice

Greater Vernon Water is informing customers that were temporarily switched to the Kalamalka Lake source on November 7, 2023 that they have returned to being supplied by the Duteau Creek source. All of the works have been completed and the system has now returned to normal.

ORIGNAL:  The Regional District of North Okanagan is informing customers of Greater Vernon Water that on beginning November 7, due to planned maintenance, the Kalamalka Lake water source will be supplied to areas on the attached map normally served by the Duteau Creek source.

Customers who are not normally on the Kalamalka water source may notice that the water is harder, and has a higher alkalinity and pH. This may be of interest to those customers who have in-home water treatment systems or aquariums.

Customers will be notified of any updates at www.rdno.ca/news (filter by Water Notices) and the RDNO’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/RDNorthOkanagan. You can also subscribe to receive email updates at www.rdno.ca/subscribe.
