Update - October 23, 2026 - 4:00pm
The Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO), in conjunction with Interior Health, advises some customers on Franklyn, Fraser, and Banner Roads (see map of affected area) supplied by the Whitevale Water Utility (WVW) there may be water outages on October 26, 27, and 28, 2026, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm each day while construction work is completed. Due to uncertainty related to some of the work, water outages may be required. Wednesday, October 28 is the most likely day of an outage.
It is suggested that you store a short-term water supply for cooking and toilet use before the interruptions.
Once water has been returned to service, affected customers will continue to be on a precautionary Boil Water Notice (BWN) until the water has been tested and confirmed to meet acceptable guidelines.
Construction work is expected to be completed by the end of next week.

Original notice - October 21, 2026
The Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO), in conjunction with Interior Health, advises some customers on Franklyn, Fraser, and Banner Roads (see map of affected area) supplied by the Whitevale Water Utility (WVW) of planned water outages on Thursday, October 22, and Friday, October 23 2026, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm each day while construction work is completed.
It is suggested that you store a short-term water supply for cooking and toilet use before the interruptions.
Once water has been returned to service, affected customers will continue to be on a precautionary Boil Water Notice (BWN) until the water has been tested and confirmed to meet acceptable guidelines.
What should affected customers do?
When water service resumes, properties in the area may experience reduced water pressure, discolouration of the water, and/or air in the water. Please run cold water until the water has cleared. An outside tap(s) is preferred.
The level of treatment provided by the RDNO has been maintained; however, all customers should boil their water for at least one minute when preparing food, drinking, washing fruits and vegetables, making beverages or ice or brushing their teeth. The RDNO will notify customers when the BWN is rescinded.
