A water main break in this area has resulted in a loss of water for some customers. Water has been returned to all customers in the area. The RDNO is issuing a precautionary BWN to the affected area while sampling and testing of the water main occurs to ensure the continued safety of the water system.

In conjunction with Interior Health, the Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) advises some customers supplied by Greater Vernon Water that they are on a precautionary BOIL WATER NOTICE (BWN) until sampling results confirm the drinking water is safe. The affected area includes Bolduc Rd, Bolduc Pl, Carriage Crt, Ploeger Rd, 505-575 BX Rd, 610 Larkspur Rd, and 4712 East Vernon Rd (see map).
A water main break in this area has resulted in a loss of water for some customers. Crews are currently working to repair the water main and restore water. The RDNO is issuing a precautionary BWN to the affected area while sampling and testing of the water main occurs to ensure the continued safety of the water system.
What should affected customers do?
Properties in the area may experience reduced water pressure, discolouration of the water, and / or air. Please run a cold water tap until the water has cleared. An outside tap is preferred.
The level of treatment provided by the RDNO has been maintained; however, customers in the affected area should boil their water for at least one minute when preparing food, drinking, washing fruits and vegetables, making beverages or ice or when brushing their teeth.

There is a water main break at 555 BX Rd. The water is shut off and crews are working on repairs. Approximately 70 properties are affected.
