In conjunction with Interior Health, the Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) advises that some customers supplied by Greater Vernon Water will be under a precautionary Water Quality Advisory (WQA) as of 10:00 am on Tuesday, October 20.

6671 – 6848 Cameo Dr
Garnet Rd
Topaz Rd
Jade Rd
Ogata Way
7301-7393 Bella Vista Rd
Flemming Rd, and
Joharon Rd
A brief shutdown is scheduled between 10:00 am and 11:00 am to repair a leak in this area. While most homes in the area should have water throughout the shutdown, some may experience a loss of water. The RDNO is issuing a precautionary WQA for the affected area while sampling and testing of the water main are conducted to ensure the continued safety of the water system.
What should affected customers do?
Properties in the area may experience reduced water pressure, discolouration of the water, and/or air. Please run a cold water tap until the water has cleared. An outside tap is preferred, but bathtubs may be used if outside taps are unavailable during the cooler months.
The level of treatment provided by the RDNO has been maintained; however, customers in the affected area may wish to boil their water for at least one minute when preparing food, drinking, washing fruits and vegetables, making beverages or ice or when their brushing teeth.
